Advisory & Consultation

Decide on numbers, not on a roadmap someone sold you.

Before you commit to a deployment model, a migration path or a multi-year programme, someone independent should map what you actually have, what the options are, and what each one costs over five years. That is this piece of work, and it is deliberately small.

Costed, not indicative

Every option carries a number, an assumption list and a timeline.

Vendor-neutral on model

We have no reseller margin riding on which route you pick.

Weeks, not months

An advisory engagement is short by design. It exists to unblock a decision.

The problem

Nobody in the room is neutral, and it shows in the business case.

By the time an SAP decision reaches a board, it usually carries three numbers from three parties who all benefit from a different answer. The job here is to produce one number you can defend.

The business case was written by the party who wins the work

That does not make it wrong. It does mean nobody has stress-tested the assumptions underneath it, which is where the cost actually lives.

Nobody has measured the landscape

Data volume, custom code, interface count and licence position are all knowable today and all change the cost of every option.

The deadline is driving the decision

The 2027 date is real, and urgency is exactly the condition under which expensive commitments get made quickly.

Five-year cost is missing

Licence, infrastructure, support and the cost of running two systems in parallel usually dwarf the implementation fee, and rarely appear in the comparison.

A decision made without a number is a guess wearing a business case.

Why advisory comes before anything else

What we do

What an advisory engagement produces.

A short, specific set of documents you can take to a board, not a slide deck about digital ambition.

Landscape assessment

What you are running, how big it is, how customised it is, and how much of it is genuinely in use.

Deployment model comparison

Public, Private, RISE, GROW and staying put, each with what it costs you and what it constrains.

Migration path selection

Brownfield, greenfield or selective, argued against your data, your customisation and your downtime tolerance.

Total cost of ownership model

Five years of licence, infrastructure, support and delivery cost for each option, with the assumptions listed openly.

Licence position review

Where you stand today, what the migration does to it, and what your exposure looks like under audit.

A sequenced roadmap

What to do this year, what to do next year, and what can safely wait, with the dependencies made explicit.

How it runs

Four to six weeks, and then we get out of the way.

This engagement is small on purpose. It is not a route into a larger programme, and you are free to take the output to any partner you like.

  1. 1

    Discover

Workshops, system extracts and a measured picture of the landscape rather than a described one.

  2. 2

    Model

Cost models for each realistic option, with assumptions written down where you can argue with them.

  3. 3

    Compare

The options side by side on cost, timeline, risk and what each one closes off.

  4. 4

    Recommend

A clear recommendation with the reasoning attached, and the case for the runner-up stated fairly.

Who this is for

This is the right page if any of these are true.

  • You have three proposals and no way to compare them.
  • The board wants a number and everything you have is a range.
  • You are being pushed toward RISE and want to know if it fits.
  • You inherited the landscape and need an honest picture of it.
  • You suspect the answer is to do less than you are being sold.

What this does not do

Advisory does not build anything. It produces a decision and the evidence behind it, and sometimes the honest recommendation is to wait another year.

We will not tell you what you want to hear to win the delivery work afterwards. If your incumbent partner is the right choice, the report will say so.

Often bought with

These usually come up in the same conversation.

Get one number you can defend.

Tell us what you are running and what decision is stuck. We will scope a short advisory engagement, or tell you plainly if you do not need one.
